Trees planting at Lihangano water source on 7/2/2026

On 8th February 1965 marks the birthday of Mr. Romanus Aidan Mgimba, Director of Lugarawa Youth Foundation. In celebration of this special occasion, a tree-planting initiative focusing on water-conserving trees was officially launched on Saturday, 7th February 2026, in Lihangano Street, Peramiho B Village. The launch ceremony was officiated by the Lihangano Street Chairperson, Mr. Edward Komba.

This event highlights the importance of tree planting in protecting water sources, improving the environment, and promoting sustainable development in our community. Following the example and encouragement of Her Excellency President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who has emphasized the significance of planting trees even during her own birthday celebrations, this initiative reflects a strong commitment to environmental conservation and community responsibility.
